META, the original company of FB and Instagram, releases a special report every month, giving information about the ‘objectionable content’ removed from social media platforms Facebook and Instagram throughout the month. This report is shared under Rule 4 (1) (D) of Information Technology. Meta has now released the report for November 2023, including information about bad content removed from FB and Instagram during a period of 30 days. This shows that during this deadline, the company had removed more than 2.30 crore content from both platforms.

The monthly Compliance Report released by META to India suggests that the company removed 18 million out of 23 million fragments (photos, videos, posts, comments) alone from FB. Talking about the exact number mentioned by the company, in November, META removed 1,83,42,800 content from FB.

META says that between 1 and 30 November, they received 21,149 reports through Indian Grevens Mechanism and the company responded to 100% of all of them. The largest number of these reports were for account hack, fake profiles, inappropriate or derogatory content and threatening or harassment.

Similarly, 46,95,700 content pieces were removed during the deadline described from Instagram. The highest number of suicides or self-abuses, adult nudity and sexual activity, violent and graphic content, bullying and harassment were related.

The platform received a total of 11,138 reports, out of which 4,209 users were provided tools to settle the problem, through which the users themselves resolved the vegetables.

The highest number of accounts received by Instagram were hacking, fake profiles and losing access to pages or accounts for losing, threatening or harassment.

Let us tell you that the October report of Meta stated that the company had removed 37 million bad content within a month, which reflects a significant decline on a monthly basis.
